Our Staff As everyone knows, a successful company can only operate with competent and knowledgeable staff. That's why the team at Yuill & Dodds Ltd are known and acknowledged for their ability and service within the industry. Meet some of our staff below:
MANAGING DIRECTOR - Mr Brian Yuill, son of founder the late Mr James Yuill (known to all as Jimmy). Brian joined the business on leaving school at age of 16, gaining his National CPC qualification and joined the Young Drivers Scheme at 18 passing his Class 1 at age of 20. He has progressed through the company with over 24 years experience and now holds the position as Managing Director.
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR/COMPANY SECRETARY - Mrs Letitia Yuill, wife of the the founder the late Mr James Yuill (known to all as Jimmy). The 'back bone' of the company in charge of all the Company Financial Department and Payroll for over 150 employees. Jimmy's' right hand woman! and joined him within the business over 45 years ago.
DIRECTOR - Mrs Karen Kerr, daughter of the founder. Karen joined the company on leaving school at the age of 17 attaining both National and International CPCs. She has also progressed through the business passing her Class 1 at the age of 21. Involved in keeping the company up to date with current legislation in the industry and oversees the financial management of the Ledgers.
TRANSPORT DIRECTOR - John Waddell, joined the company over 9 years ago to fill in for holiday cover and enjoyed it that much that he stayed. John currently routes and plans operations for some 50 rigid tippers on a daily basis. He is responsible for the estimating and tendering for prospective projects and works closely with the Managing Director.
TRANSPORT MANAGER - John MacCormick, joined the company as a driver and has been transferred into the busy Traffic Office, taking charge of the daily planning of the artic operations.
HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER - Stewart Balmer joined the company as Health & Safety & Personnel Manager with over 20 years experience in the Transport Industry. He has an understanding of all the statutory requirements and legal obligations applicable in an ever more safety conscious environment. Stewart is involved in the Induction and Training program for all our employees.
ACCOUNTS TEAM - Emily & Karen work well together and are responsible for the sales and purchase ledgers. Emily specialises in the hire division of SWT Hire Solutions by keeping the fleet fully utilised.
ADMIN TEAM - Ayrlie wife of the Managing Director is in charge of the insurance for the 100+ fleet on a weekly basis. Daria is our Polish interpreter and is responsible for administering the working time directive and tachograph legislation as well as communicating with our 20+ Polish drivers.
SERVICE TEAM - Bobby & Tracey work together to keep the fleet vehicles maintained and inspected per our Operators Licence Standards. Bobby is the fleet foreman and Tracey is our service manager.
