Our Staff As everyone knows, a successful company can only operate with competent and knowledgeable staff. That's why the team at Yuill & Dodds Ltd are known and acknowledged for their ability and service within the industry. Meet some of our staff below:
MANAGING DIRECTOR - Mr Brian Yuill, son of founder the late Mr James Yuill (known to all as Jimmy). Brian joined the business on leaving school at age of 16, gaining his National CPC qualification and joined the Young Drivers Scheme at 18 passing his Class 1 at age of 20. He has progressed through the company with over 27 years experience and now holds the position as Managing Director.
DIRECTOR/COMPANY SECRETARY - Mrs Letitia Yuill, wife of the the founder the late Mr James Yuill (known to all as Jimmy). The 'back bone' of the company in charge of the Payroll for over 100 employees. Jimmy's' right hand woman! and joined him within the business over 55 years ago.
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR - Mrs Karen Kerr, daughter of the founder. Karen joined the company on leaving school at the age of 17 attaining both National and International CPCs. She has also progressed through the business passing her Class 1 at the age of 21. In charge of the Financial Department, involved in keeping the company up to date with current legislation in the industry and oversees the Health & Safety aspects of the company, currently IOSH qualified.
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR - John Waddell, joined the company over 10 years ago to fill in for holiday cover and enjoyed it that much that he stayed. John currently routes and plans operations for some 35 rigid tippers on a daily basis. He is responsible for the estimating and tendering for prospective projects and works closely with the Managing Director.
ACCOUNTS MANAGER - Emily has been with the company for over 12 years and is in charge of purchase ledger. Emily specialises in the hire division of SWT Hire Solutions by keeping the fleet fully utilised at all times. She works closely with the Financial Director and the Director.
ADMIN TEAM - Ayrlie, wife of the Managing Director, is in charge of the insurance for the 100+ fleet on a weekly basis. She is also hands on within the transport office, keeping up to date with all personnel administration and legislation.
SERVICE TEAM - Bobby & Daria work together to keep the fleet vehicles maintained and inspected per our Operators Licence Standards. Bobby is the fleet foreman and Daria is our service manager, she is also our Polish interpreter and is responsible for administering the working time directive and tachograph legislation as well as communicating with our 20+ Polish drivers..
